Ed's illustrious front office career includes roles such as Director of Player Development with the San Diego Padres (1991-1993), Assistant General Manager for the New York Mets (1994), and General Manager for the Chicago Cubs (1994-2000). Following his managerial roles, he served as a Major League Scout for the Chicago Cubs (2001-2009) and the Toronto Blue Jays (2010-2016). In addition to his executive career, Ed boasts a Major League playing career as a Right-Handed Pitcher for the New York Mets (1980-1986) and the Chicago Cubs (1986-1987). His educational journey includes a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Carolina (1977) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami Law School (1990).
